He’s been at the local shelter for over 60 days. He came in with the rest of his siblings, but he’s now the last of his litter still waiting to find a forever home!
Boomer is full of energy and puppy kisses—the perfect combo for a new best friend. He enjoys playing with squeaky toys and other dogs. He is very curious about cats. The shelter cat likes to taunt him by walking very slowly next to his kennel. Boomer whines, gets excited, and wants to play with the shelter cat.
Boomer is at the age that if you adopt him now, he can learn and thrive with the tricks and routine you show him. Boomer likes to watch what you do. For example, during a transport while staff were loading animals into carriers, Boomer watched carefully. He sat patiently waiting at the front of his kennel as he saw kittens and other pups get loaded into carriers. His gaze looked as if he wished he was leaving too.
Anyone interested in Boomer can visit him at the animal shelter at 1273 Balok St. in Gallup. They are open Monday-Friday from 8 am – 5 pm, with animal viewing hours from 10:30 am – 4:30 pm; and Saturdays from 9 am – 3 pm, with viewing hours from 10:30 am – 2:30 pm.
