He is a neutered male Siberian Husky who is fully vaccinated. The animal shelter staff believe he is about 3 years old.
Huskies are known for being very energetic and having great endurance. Balto has a common gene in huskies called heterochromia (one blue and one brown eye). Not only is he very handsome, but Balto is also a great dog. He knows how to walk on the leash, and he enjoys tasty treats.
It doesn’t take much to please Balto, he enjoys a simple bed with a squeaky toy while closing his eyes as you pet his head. He is dog and cat friendly.
Anyone interested in Balto can visit him at the animal shelter at 1273 Balok St. in Gallup. They are open Monday-Friday from 8 am – 5 pm, with animal viewing hours from 10:30 am – 4:30 pm; and Saturdays from 9 am – 3 pm, with viewing hours from 10:30 am – 2:30 pm.
