He is a 9-month-old pup who was previously adopted from the McKinley County Humane Shelter, but he was returned due to the family growing allergic to him. They hadn’t owned a dog before, so they didn’t know this unfortunate event had to happen.
Chico’s previous owner reported that he is a great dog: very smart, treat motivated, and kid friendly. He loves people and being a social butterfly. Chico is already neutered and ready for his next chapter in life to begin. He enjoys being held and played with. Chico is dog-friendly and cat-friendly; he would do great in a family with kids or other dogs.
Anyone interested in Chico can visit him at the McKinley County Humane Society at 1273 Balok St. in Gallup. They are open Monday-Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm.
