Michael Thomas Johnson Jr., of Tohlakai, N.M., died on Feb. 25. He was 47 years old.
He was born in Gallup on Dec. 30, 1978. He was born into Tse’ nijikini (Honey Combed) Rock people or Cliff Dwellers people clan) born for Naaneesht’ezhi Tachii’nii (The Charcoal Streaked Division of the Red Running Into the Water Can.
Michael was preceded in death by his father Mike Johnson Sr.; his younger brother Adam Shirley; and his grandmother Mar y Watson. He is survived by his children Phae- Ann (Johnson), Major Sky (Johnson), and Luci-Ann (Johnson); his siblings Summer Shirley, Tallie Ann Johnson, and Samuel Johnson; and his mother Cheryl Shirley.
Funeral services were held at the Bethlehem Christian Reformed Church on March 4.
