Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services is temporarily closing its operating room, effective Aug. 4, through Sept. 13, for remediation from flood damage and HVAC failure.
The decision was made out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety and well-being of staff and the community, according to spokesperson Rhonda Ray.
The temporary closure will cause inconvenience, and any disruption is sincerely regretted, Ray stated in an Aug. 4 news release.
All operating room surgeries and services will be paused during the closure.
“However, we are trying very hard to get the procedure rooms on the second floor up in the next 2-3 weeks, while the ORs are temporarily closed,” she said.
Updates regarding progress and the anticipated reopening date will be provided on the website, www.rmch.org, and through social media channels, radio, and newspaper.
