Mike Henry Nez, of Phoenix, died May 30. He was 69.
Mike was born in Fort Defiance, Ariz., on June 26, 1956. He was born into the Bitterwater, born for One who walks around.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother Nellie Weidmeyer; his father Arthur Nez; his grandson Tyrone Nez, Sr.; and his great-grandson Tyrone Nez, Jr. He is survived by his wife Helena Peshlakai Nez; his children Twila Dickson, Moriko Nez, Christopher Nez, Donavan Nez, and Elizabeth Nez. He had 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
