Brenda Mae Begaye, of Navajo, N.M., died on April 30. She was 62.
She was born in Fort Defiance, Ariz. on Aug. 21, 1962.
Brenda was preceded in death her father John Yazzie; her mother Peggy Laughling; her sister Beverly Brown; and her son Delbert Begaye.
She is survived by her husband Albert Begaye; her brothers Billy and Curtis Yazzie; her sisters Irene Pearl Yazzie and Betty Laughling; her daughters Valcita Begaye, Ranisha Begaye, and Nicole Emerson; her sons Lambert Begaye Sr. and Elbert Begaye; and eight grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at Rollie Mortuary May 9 at 10 am.
Jefferson Yazzie, of Pinedale, N.M., died on May 3. He was 50.
He was born into the Black Streak born for Mexican (Clan). He was born in Gallup on June 18, 1974.
Jefferson was preceded in death by his daughter Mia Yazzie.
Funeral services will be held at Pinedale Christian Center May 13 at 10 am. Memorials/flowers can be sent to Gallup Cope Memorial.
