At 4:28 pm Doppler radar was tracking a line of thunderstorms extending from 12 miles northwest of Salt Lake to seven miles east of Black Rock, moving northwest at 15 mph. Staff Reports As of 5 pm July 27, Gallup Police are responding to a situation in which a person has barricaded themselves in a residence. The GPD responded to a call at 802 W. Maloney Ave. and is currently managing a situation involving an armed barricaded person inside the residence. Staff Reports West central McKinley County will be under a flood advisory until 5:45 pm July 26. At 2:49 pm, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between a quarter and three-quarters inches of rain have fallen between Fort Wingate and Church Rock. Additional rain amounts between a quarter to three-quarters of rain is expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
