Mary Ann Woodward will celebrate her 90th birthday Oct. 5.
She, and her parents, Olen and Laudis Harris, came to Gallup in the mid-1950’s, working in the oil refineries near Gallup. Phil Woodard courted her, they married, and both finished university studies at UNM Albuquerque. He is still her faithful companion.
Mary Ann raised two children, Suzanne and Daniel, and helped just about anywhere duty called. That helpful spirit still animates her every day.
Now a resident of Texas, near her birthplace of Big Spring, Mary Ann has been enjoying a relaxed pace of life.
