Helen Long, of Twin Lakes, N.M., died July 30. She was 87.
She was born in Twin Lakes on Dec. 7, 1938. She was born into the Táchii’nii (Red Running into the Water People Clan), born for Tábąąhá’ (Water Edge People Clan).
Helen was preceded in death by her late husband Wallace C. Long, Sr.; her son Ernest Long; and her grandson Nelson Long, Sr. She is survived by her sons Emeron Long, Sr. and Wallace C. Long, Jr. and her daughter Lavern Willie.
A graveside service was held at Gallup City Cemetery on Aug. 5.
