Cayden is the definition of a “lead-by-example” teammate. While he consistently delivers standout performances on the track during meets, his impact is felt just as strongly during the team’s daily practices.
Whether it’s executing every drill with focus or being the first to volunteer when equipment needs to be moved or the bus needs loading, Cayden’s work ethic is unmatched. Above all, he is recognized by coaches and peers alike for his kindness and respectful nature. He is a constant source of support for his teammates and embodies the true spirit of our program.

Name: Hope Yazzie

Grade: Junior
Hope Yazzie ran a personal record at the recent Angelo Diapolo Memorial Invite in the 200 meter and earned a third-place overall finish in the process. Hope is a tremendous leader, kind towards all her teammates, and is proud of her teacup chihuahua (pictured). Hope gives 110% whether she is soaring high over the high jump cross bar, stretching out for the sand in long jump, handing off a baton to a teammate, or sprinting towards the finish line. She competes with grace, humility, and sportsmanship.

Name: Kailiah Mitchell

Kailiah Mitchell ran a personal best in the 2-mile recently, showing just how much she’s grown through her hard work and determination. She brings a consistently positive attitude to the team and continues to develop into a strong, supportive teammate. Her progress is exciting to watch, and she’s setting a great example for those around her.

Name: Taysen Begay
Sport: Track & Field
Grade: Junior
Taysen set a 1A record time at the Rehoboth Meet for the 3200 and was featured in the a local paper for his accomplishment. Currently, he is first place for 1A in the entire state of New Mexico and plans to continue to improve his time, week after week, with the goal of standing on the podium at State. Taysen challenges his team to improve their relay and individual times and gives his full effort at every meet.
