Liam did a good job of running the ball as a full back on the offensive side this year. On defense, he locked down receivers with great pass coverage as a defensive back. Liam also made big plays as a kick returner on Special Teams. He is a great student and he is becoming a leader.

Name: Herbert Yazzie III
Sport: Cross Country
Grade: Sophomore
Herbert’s goal during the first week of practice was, “to qualify for state and improve my time by the end of the year.” Herbert improved by over 90 seconds from last year and successfully qualified for the 3A New Mexico State Championships by running the fastest qualifying time for an individual at the District 1-3A Championships held at Zuni.

Name: Mason Yazzie
Sport: Cross Country
Grade: Freshman
During the District meet, Mason set a new PR and shaved significant time off of his run. Because of his efforts, he qualified to go to the State XC competition. Mason is an all-around great athlete who, as a freshman, has years of athletic excellence ahead of him.
