Gallup Police found two bodies on consecutive days, and have now opened investigations into the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
Gallup Police have opened an investigation after finding a dead body in an open field.
First, around 11:45 am on Aug. 11, Gallup Police officers responded to a call from someone who reported an unresponsive woman in the area of 1414 E. Aztec Ave. When officers and EMS personnel arrived at the scene, they confirmed that the woman was deceased.
The following day, around 1:30 pm, officers were called out to Auto Glass at 706 W. Maloney Ave. for an unresponsive individual. When they arrived at the scene, officers and EMS personnel confirmed that the individual was deceased.
The gender of the second person, who passed away on Aug. 12, wasn’t released to the public.
At this time, no further information is available on either death. The Criminal Investigations Division is currently working on the cases. They are ongoing investigations.
