WINDOW ROCK, Ariz. — Navajo Technical University hosted its “Wings of Purpose” motivational event at the NTU Main Campus Wellness Center on April 9, bringing together students, faculty, and staff for discussions centered on inspiration, perseverance, and personal growth.
At the invitation of student leaders and NTU Peer Navigators, Speaker Crystalyne Curley delivered a keynote message focused on self-determination, resilience, and the importance of cultural identity in achieving success.
“Today’s event provided an opportunity to remind our students that their purpose is intrinsic and guided by their actions,” Curley said. “Persevering to achieve our goals is not always easy. If you continue to believe in yourself and stay grounded in who you are, you can overcome challenges and reach your goals.”
Organizers with NTU Peer Navigators said the event was designed to strengthen student success initiatives by fostering motivation, connection, and confidence as students approach the end of the academic semester.
“We want students to leave knowing they are supported and capable of finishing strong,” Human Resources Training Coordinator Wilbur Tso said. “This gathering creates space for encouragement and reflection as they prepare for what comes next.”
The program concluded with closing remarks and a wrap-up session that reinforced the day’s key themes of perseverance, purpose, and continued personal and academic growth.
Following the event, Curley expressed appreciation to the NTU Peer Navigators for the invitation and commended their efforts to create spaces that empower and uplift fellow students.
NTU officials emphasized that programs like “Wings of Purpose” play an important role in strengthening student support systems and fostering a positive campus environment rooted in empowerment and cultural values.
