Staff Reports
The Board of Directors of Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services announced Feb. 11 that Wayne Gillis has tendered his resignation as President and CEO, effective March 11. Gillis has committed to work part-time until the new CEO has started and there is a effective handoff.
Gillis made this decision following the sudden loss of a close family member earlier this year and the ongoing need to be fully present in support of his family. In the Feb. 11 press release, the Board stated they respect and support this decision and they extended their appreciation for his leadership and service.
“Wayne led RMCHCS during a critical period with integrity, humility, and a deep commitment to our mission,” Board Chair Maryann Ustick said. “Under his leadership, the organization made meaningful progress in stability, culture, and operational performance. We are grateful for his impact and wish him and his family strength and peace.”
Gillis has committed to supporting a smooth leadership transition to ensure continuity and organizational stability. The Board has initiated its succession process and will provide updates as appropriate.
