Gallup Police apphrended someone who was reportedly walking down a Gallup street with a firearm.
In the early hours of July 22, the Gallup Police Department responded to reports of an individual openly carrying a firearm in the vicinity of Ridgecrest Burke and Caesar Avenue. The person was reportedly threatening people.
Officers secured all the intersections within the affected area and advised that people avoid the area and use alternative routes.
Around 8:50 am, the Gallup Police reported that they had someone in custody, and that there was no immediate danger to the public. However, the police remain in the area, and are conducting an investigation.
