Schools and hospital facilities in Window Rock, Ariz. were placed on a soft lockdown around 12:40 pm on March 24 after the Navajo Nation Police Department allegedly recieved reports of an active shooter at local hospital facilities in Fort Defiance, Ariz., and St. Michaels, Ariz.
The police department stated in a Facebook post that Window Rock Unified School District schools and schools near the incident have been placed on a soft lockdown as a precautionary measure.
According to authorities, this is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no current threat to the community or public offices.
Law enforcement is currently on scene investigating.
