ALBUQUERQUE — A Zuni man pleaded guilty to the shooting death of an individual.
According to court documents, on Dec. 1, 2024, Glendon Laate, 49, a member of the Zuni Pueblo, shot and killed a man with a homemade shotgun.
Laate pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter on March 10. At sentencing Laate faces up to 15 years in prison.
The Gallup Resident Agency of the FBI’s Albuquerque Field Office investigated this case with assistance from the Zuni Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Meg Tomlinson and Michael Pahl are prosecuting the case.
